| Turbana has just entered a new venture to distribute
Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) frozen plantain products. We
are currently distributing IQF frozen maduros (sliced ripe plantains),
at retail and food service. Very soon, we will also offer tostones,
chips and other frozen plantain products.
What is an IQF plantain?
We take the best quality green plantains, cook them, slice
them and individually quick freeze the slices, all while employing
the strictest quality control standards. The results: consistent
freshness, taste, handling and use. Our IQF processing plant
is ISO 9901 compliant and will shortly be A.I.B certified
(American Institute of Baking), the highest quality control
certification in frozen foods.
The IQF Advantages:
- What you need is under the skin
- Consistently excellent quality, size and taste
- Easy to use - 100% yield
- No need to ripen - save time

Market Opportunities for IQF Plantains:
- Estimated Latino population in the United States: 31 million.
