Isabella Shipping, a wholly owned subsidiary of Uniban, transports Turbana fruit from our port in Colombia to the North American market on refrigerated vessels. Our state-of-the-art port facilities ensure quality control and food safety procedures upon arrival of our product at the U.S. ports.
From the vessel to the warehouse, controlled temperature systems ensure that all of our products are stored and distributed under the best technologically possible conditions. Temperature, humidity, air purifiers, and ethylene scrubbers are electronically controlled, and advanced pressurized systems are utilized at each port.
Our shipments undergo extensive inspections for pallet integrity to ensure proper shipping and handling. In addition, ABC quality inspections are performed upon arrival to guarantee product quality, and we periodically perform random multi-residue tests and microbial/chemical analyses. All to provide our customers with fruit that is fresh, safe, and of the absolute highest quality possible.
