Peel back one portion of the banana peel (making sure
to leave peel attached at the bottom). With a sharp
knife, cut out a strip down the center of the banana
about 1/2-inch wide and 1/4-inch deep. Fill the cut
strip with a combination of chopped nuts, chocolate
and butterscotch or peanut butter chips. Cover the filled
strip with previously removed banana peel, then wrap
the whole banana tightly in aluminum foil, making sure
to seal the edges. Place near a hot edge of the fire
and rotate occasionally. Heat for 7 to 10 minutes, making
sure all sides are heated. Bananas should be soft and
all chips should be melted. Remove from fire, unwrap
from foil and peel back the same portion of skin from
initial step. Top with whipped cream and scoop out with
a spoon to eat. (Caution: the banana may be extremely
hot when first removed from the fire.)
